The TRUEFORCE buckle utilizes an auto-lock mechanism: as the strap is pulled through, internal locking prongs engage automatically, eliminating dangerous slack and preventing accidental loosening. This “set-and-forget” feature is critical when every second counts.

Once secured, the TRUEFLEX™ plate beneath the buckle plays a vital role. Rather than concentrating pressure on a narrow point, which can cause tissue damage or fail to occlude blood flow, this flexible plate distributes the applied force evenly across the limb. This targeted pressure more reliably compresses the artery with less overall force required from the user, enhancing both effectiveness and patient comfort during a harrowing situation. This combination ensures a fast, secure, and physiologically optimized occlusion.

The SAM XT is engineered from the ground up to perform in challenging environments, be it a muddy trail, a dusty worksite, or in wet weather. Its construction uses high-grade, weather-resistant materials that resist degradation from moisture, UV exposure, and temperature fluctuations. The precision strap with reinforced interval holes is designed to engage cleanly with the buckle, even if covered in debris or when the user’s motor skills are compromised.

Furthermore, the complementary hook-and-loop closure system (like Velcro®) serves a dual purpose. Once the buckle is locked, this strap is secured over the windlass, immobilizing it to prevent accidental unwind. It also provides a neat, compact storage profile, protecting the mechanism from snagging or contamination in a pack or kit. The color options—High-Visibility Orange and Tactical Black—cater to different use-case scenarios. The black option is tailored for tactical, law enforcement, or discreet carry purposes, where a low-visibility profile may be preferred.
