Digital Thermometer

Compared to mercury thermometers, a digital thermometer is inexpensive, extremely easy to use and provides an accurate reading in very little time. With a mercury thermometer, you have to wait for the mercury to warm up and rise to the correct level. Only then will it display the temperature.

In addition to speed, digital thermometers also provide more accurate readings. This is a result of their more advanced technology.

A digital thermometer will not break and spill mercury if it is dropped. Mercury is a highly toxic substance and spills in the home must be cleaned very carefully to avoid threats to the health of children and pets.

With a digital thermometer, the temperature is easy to read off the LCD screen - no medical skill is required. When using the thermometer, we would however, advise cleaning the tip with soap and cold water before you insert it into the patient's mouth. Once you have finished taking the temperature, we would suggest washing and rinsing the thermometer once again before you store it away.

Digital Thermometer Maintenance is simple - you only need to replace the battery periodically once it expires.

If you have not yet tried using one of these thermometers, you owe it to your self to give one a try. We are sure you will be pleasantly surprised.
