Intelect TENS

The Intelect TENS unit has the capability to address multiple patient needs, from pain management to preventing or retarding the atrophy of disused muscles. This unit comes with lead wires, 9 volt battery, DURA-STICK® self adhesive electrodes and a carrying case for convenient portability.

The units deliver low level electric currents that will stimulate muscle fibres to relieve chronic pain, post trauma or post surgical pain. You can also use them to rehabilitate muscles that have become atrophied due to disuse following an injury, or proactively to prevent muscle atrophy.

There are 3 available models – basic, standard and digital.

Caution – please consult with your doctor before and while using this unit. In particular, its use in the following situations is contra indicated:

• Use over the carotid sinus nerves;
• Over the neck or mouth, as this may result in spasms of the laryngeal or pharyngeal muscles, leading to possible closure of your airway and consequent difficulty in breathing;
• Transthoracic application, as this may cause cardiac arrhythmias;
• Application over swollen, infected or inflamed areas or skin eruptions;
• Over or adjacent to areas that contain cancerous lesions;
• Over or near to the eyes.
