The McDavid Elbow Strap With Pads has dual Sorbothane® pads to provide targeted, pain-relieving pressure.

This elbow support is constructed from 100% Neoprene(CR), a latex free compound. Its latex free construction eliminates any risk of adverse medical reaction for those with latex sensitivities. Utilizing 100% neoprene gives superior resilience and tensile strength. Neoprene also has excellent tear resistance, is highly compressive and offers heat aging benefits. McDavid recommends air drying for its SportMed products, but with a 100% neoprene construction, this product will be able to survive repeated washings and dryings.

The 1.5 mm thickness of the neoprene used in the construction of this ultra low profile brace means that it will be easier to wear with regular clothing.

However, if you have a history of neoprene allergies, this brace may not be for you. We would recommend choosing a support made from other materials, like the McDavid Elbow Sleeve /Elastic.

The dual Sorbothane pads allow you to precisely target the painful areas of your elbow. The brace is suitable for mild to moderate symptoms of tennis or golf elbow. For tennis elbow, you can place the pads to focus compression on the tendons of the outer elbow while, for golf elbow, the focus should be on the inner elbow.

Sorbothane is a polymer material designed for use as a shock absorber and vibration dampener. It is therefore an excellent choice for the pads, as they will have to absorb forces that would otherwise reach the injured tendons that are causing the tennis or golf elbow symptoms.

You can also position the pads to target other painful areas of the elbow that may not be the result of tennis or golf elbow. Compression will help to improve blood flow to the painful areas and this will in turn reduce swelling and inflammation and allow the injury to heal more quickly.
