ColPac Freezer

A ColPac® Freezer provides 5 cubic feet of capacity and is equipped with 4 durable stainless steel shelves. Each freezer comes complete with trays and cup holders and is supplied with 12 standard size ColPacs. Cleaning and defrosting of this unit are both easy to carry out and require little time.

The ColPacs from this unit can be used to provide cold therapy for your patients after they have experienced acute injuries. Cold therapy will reduce metabolism and slow down the rate of blood flow to the injured area. Bleeding, if any, will be reduced. After a period of 24-48 hours, and if any bleeding has ceased, you can switch to the next stage of therapy.

After removing a ColPac from this unit, you should wrap it in a damp and warm towel before placing it against your patient’s bare skin. This will reduce the initial shock of the cold therapy treatment.
