Isagel No Rinse Hand Cleanser

The IsaGel No Rinse Hand Cleanser is an instant hand sanitizing gel. It contains added moisturizers and is CHG and latex glove compatible. Isagel is available in 2 bottle sizes – 115 mL and 621 mL. It is used for hand washing to decrease the presence of bacteria on the skin.

Isagel has demonstrated effectiveness in eliminating MRSA, VRE and H1N1. It kills 99% of most micro-organisms in 15 seconds or less. It also contains added moisturizers to keep the skin of your hands healthy and moisturized. This permits multiple uses without experiencing discomfort or dry skin.

The active ingredient in IsaGel No Rinse Hand Cleanser is  70% Ethyl Alcohol (Ethanol). Like Isopropyl Alcohol, Ethanol is commonly used as a disinfectant. Both ethanol and isopropyl alcohol need to work in conjunction with water to be effective. The water opens the bacterial pores and allows the alcohol to infiltrate and kill the bacterial cells. Examples of isopropyl alcohol based disinfectants include Lernapharm Antiseptic Pads and Webcol Alcohol Prep Pads.

Other (inactive) ingredients of Isagel are:

• Carbomer;
• Fragrance;
• Glycereth-26 PEG-12;
• Purified Water (USP);
• Triethanolamine.

Directions For Use – Wet your hands thoroughly, then rub Isagel into your hands and allow it to dry. Do not rinse. Wash your hands with water and hand cleanser after every 7-9 applications. Isagel is for use when your hands are not visibly soiled. If they are visibly dirty, wash them using soap and hot water instead.
