The Shock Doctor Gel Max mouthguard boasts a triple layer design and exoskeletal shock frame that can protect your teeth, gums and tongue from serious injury.
The Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouthguard delivers essential protection for your teeth, tongue and gums with no sacrifice of comfort. This is a triple layer design with an integrated breathing channel for all purpose protection. The exoskeletal shock frame provides additional dental protection.
The Gel Max has a convertible quick release tether that allows the user to wear the mouthguard either with or without a strap. It also boasts a gel fit liner. This custom molds to the user’s teeth to ensure a tight but comfortable fit.
This is a wise investment for sports like basketball or hockey in which there is plenty of player to player contact. In these sports, there is always a risk that a flying elbow or puck can cause severe dental injuries that can cost thousands of dollars to treat. Other sports in which a mouthguard can provide valuable protection include baseball, soccer, skateboarding, gymnastics and even mountain biking. In some situations, a mouthgaurd can also help reduce the risk of concussion. It will absorb some of the shock from a blow to the jaw and reduce the amount traveling to the brain.
The Shock Doctor Gel Max Mouthguard is latex free, BPA free and Phthalate free. Colors available are Blue/Black, Black, Orange, Red, Blue, Purple and Pink. Each color is available in both Adult and Youth versions.

Gel Max Power Mouthguard
Saucepan
Slotted spoon
Mirror
Bowl
Water
A clock or watch with second hand
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
Fill saucepan with 3 to 4 inches of water. Bring water to a rolling boil.
Remove water from heat source. Let water stand for 30 seconds, then place mouthguard in water for 60 seconds. Do not exceed 60 seconds. For strapped mouthguards, attach tether before placing in water.
Carefully remove mouthguard from hot water with a slotted spoon or by the tether.
Cool mouthguard in tap water for 1-2 seconds only to bring surface temperature to a comfortable level.
Lick your lips before placing mouthguard in your mouth.
Watching in mirror, line up mouthguard carefully with the centerline of upper teeth. Fit mouthguard onto and around upper teeth and press firmly into molars first then front teeth.
Bring lower jaw forward and up into base of mouthguard with teeth in alignment with lower channel. Bite down hard on mouthguard, suck in strongly, and use fingers to press edges of mouthguard into teeth and gum line through lips and cheeks for 20 seconds.
Remove mouthguard and cool in cold water for 30 seconds. Replace into mouth and test for a good, firm fit.
Repeat steps 1 through 8 if fit is not accurate.
QUICK TIPS
The Gel Max Power Mouthguard will expand up to 20% during the fitting process when molded correctly. It may seem small at first but it will fit!
