Q – I have a customer looking for a waterproof arm cast protection piece, any ideas?
A – Yes, we offer the DryPro line of products, that are made for just that purpose!
Q – Reading the description and sizing doesn’t give me the length of the product. I believe the customer is wanting to cover the entire arm cast.
A – If it is an arm,as suggested by your info. It is available in sm & lg half arms. Plus full arms in different sizes. You need to do the measurements to determine the size he will need. You have to cover the whole cast or water…(if swimming, will destroy it) You measure from the tips of his fingers..to 1 1/2″ – 2″ from where the cast ends. On the skin you also need a circumference measurement of his arm. Can’t be in the elbow area(go 2″ above) or in the armpit. Will break seal when he bends his arm
Q – I’m looking for a covering for an injured hand — looks like the cast/bandage protector that looks like a mitten is the one for me. I live in Toronto — would you send this to my house?
A – If you are referring to the DryPro, yes we are the distributor for this product. It is used for bathing or swimming. We do ship to the Toronto area, but we need to know the size of the item you need. You may also order on line www.dunbarmedical.com and press red label for “retail sales”. Make sure your sizing is correct.
Q – Sounds great. I will look at your sizing and then figure out which one I need and then go via the website. Thanks for your help.
A – No. problem. Talk to you later!
Q – one last question — there’s no cast, just a bandage. I would say my husband’s hand is medium-small. Is your sizing of small and large for adults, or is the small intended for kids?
A – It could be for both. Normally people have a cast on. Where is the bandage located?
Q – The bandage is on the left index finger — knife cut.
A – Way to go husband!! He should be able to fit into a Half Arm. The small is a length of 17.5″, the large is a length of 20″. So if you measure the length of his arm the measurement has to go above or below the elbow(won’t seal if in this region) At the point where you wish the length to be you need a circumference of his arm. Small half arm is 7.75″ – 10″. The large is 10 & up. If he does not fit into either of these, he will have to go to the full arm version.
Q – Seriously….and just before we take off for Barbados! I will get him to measure the circumference of his arm as per your instructions. He really only needs it to cover above the wrist/middle of forearm. You’ve been very helpful, thanks!
