The CanDo® Stretch Strap is the strap that stretches with you. The  strap is made from elastic pockets that you to to gradually ease into a stretch and gain more benefit from the exercise (in addition to facing less risk of injury).

The strap  permits stretching that is dynamic instead of static. It helps the user to perform facilitated stretching using isometric contractions to achieve greater improvements in flexibility than she would from static stretching.

The security offered by the strap also reduces the need for a stretching partner, thus making it easier to workout at home and maintain social distancing.

A stretch strap, also known as a stretching strap or yoga strap, is a simple yet versatile tool commonly used in yoga, Pilates, physical therapy, and general fitness routines. • Enhanced Recovery: Stretching with a strap can aid in post-workout recovery by promoting blood circulation to muscles, facilitating the removal of waste products, and reducing muscle soreness and fatigue.
  • Injury Prevention: Incorporating stretching with a strap into a regular exercise routine can help prevent injuries by improving flexibility, reducing muscle imbalances, and enhancing joint stability and mobility.
  • Better Posture: Stretching with a strap can help correct muscle imbalances and alignment issues, leading to improved posture and reduced risk of musculoskeletal pain and discomfort.
  • Improved Performance: Increased flexibility and range of motion achieved through stretching with a strap can lead to improved athletic performance in various activities such as yoga, Pilates, dance, martial arts, and sports.
  • Versatility: Stretch straps are versatile tools that can be used for a wide range of stretching exercises targeting different muscle groups and areas of the body, making them suitable for individuals of all fitness levels and abilities.

Uses

  • Quad Stretch: Loop the stretch strap around one foot and bend the knee, bringing the foot towards the buttocks while keeping the hips aligned, to stretch the quadriceps.
  • Shoulder Stretch: Hold the stretch strap with both hands and extend the arms overhead, allowing the strap to hang behind the back. Gently pull one arm towards the opposite shoulder to stretch the shoulder and triceps.
  • Chest Opener: Hold the stretch strap with both hands behind the back, palms facing outward. Gently lift the arms upward while pulling the hands away from the body to stretch the chest and shoulders.
  • Seated Forward Fold: Sit on the ground with legs extended in front. Loop the stretch strap around the feet and hold the ends with both hands. Lean forward from the hips, keeping the back straight, and gently pull on the strap to deepen the stretch in the hamstrings and lower back.
  • Piriformis Stretch: Lie on the back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor. Cross one ankle over the opposite knee and thread the stretch strap through the loop created by the legs. Hold onto the strap and gently pull the legs towards the chest to stretch the piriformis and glutes.
  • Standing Quadriceps Stretch: Stand tall and hold one end of the stretch strap in one hand. Loop the other end around the ankle of one foot and gently pull the foot towards the buttocks, keeping the knees together and hips aligned, to stretch the quadriceps.

In summary, a stretch strap is a versatile and effective tool for improving flexibility, enhancing relaxation, preventing injuries, and promoting overall well-being. Incorporating stretching exercises with a strap into a regular fitness routine can help individuals of all ages and fitness levels achieve their flexibility and mobility goals.
