The Mueller Sports Medicine Cold/Hot Therapy Wrap-Small is ideal for smal body parts such as your neck, ankle, elbow or foot. The Cold-Hot Therapy Wrap pouch can holds a 4.75″ long x 6″ wide cold-hot pack. It also shields your skin during hot or cold therapy.
The wrap helps you treat both acute and chronic injuries.It will help reduce bleeding and swelling and relieve pain. It will also enhance rehabilitation after you have suffered an injury to smaller parts of your body.
Includes two Cold-Hot Packs 4.75″long x 6″ wide (12 cm x 15 cm) plus a Small Wrap with a 1.1 ft (33cm) Extension Strap.
Mueller Sports Medicine Cold/Hot Therapy Wrap-Small : Cold Therapy
You can use the wrap to apply cold therapy to sprains, bruises and other acute injuries. To do so, take a cold-hot pack that has been in the freezer for a few hours and place it in the pouch of the Mueller Sports Medicine Cold/Hot Therapy Wrap-Small. Then put the wrap on and adjust it so that it is directly over the site of your injury.
Cold therapy will reduce blood flow and cause your blood vessels to vasoconstrict. Both these actions will reduce any bleeding that may be present and stabilize the injury in preparation for the next phase of treatment.
Once bleeding has stopped you can start using both of the included cold-hot packs. Use the cold for ten mites and then follow with the hot. The latter will cause increased blood flow that brings fresh nutrients into the injured area. Those nutrients will contribute to the healing process.
Mueller Sports Medicine Cold/Hot Therapy Wrap-Small : Heat Therapy
Use heat for chronic aches and pains e.g. overuse injuries or delayed onset muscle soreness. Use a cold pack that you have microwaved for a few minutes, then place it in the pouch and put on the wrap.As with the combined cold/hot therapy described above, the result of heat therapy will be an increased blood flow. This will in turn help to maintain a fresh (revitalized) feeling in sore muscles and/or a more rapid return to your normal, rested, physical condition.
• Heat or chill cold-hot pack, following directions on the product
• Place cold-hot pack in pouch
• Attach extension strap, if necessary
• Fasten therapy wrap to body part securely with hook & loop
Care For Wrap: Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent. Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.
